Presentamos la nueva alineaci\u00f3n de The Badman Orchesta A.k.A BMO\u00a0 con un show para partir tarima. Desde los estudios de Show Rental en Caracas, adelantamos los ensayos del ensamble, con un set list que integra temas recientes y otros muy sonados de distintos momentos\u00a0 del camino.<\/p>\n

La alineaci\u00f3n de la banda est\u00e1 conformada por m\u00fasicos de amplia trayectoria nacional e internacional y se define por una r\u00edtmica m\u00e1s entronizada con la cultura Afro-Caribe, la sonoridad y emocionalidad del Reggae, la fuerza impetuosa del Dancehall y toques de Afrobeat. La instrumentaci\u00f3n logra proyectar la original sonoridad de la propuesta del ensamble, con una perfecta armon\u00eda musical.<\/p>\n

OneChot es un m\u00fasico, compositor y cantante nacido en Caracas (1977). En \u00e9l se conjuga la vivencia propia de quienes habitaron los a\u00f1os noventa con toda la carga impl\u00edcita de la fusi\u00f3n de g\u00e9neros. El creativo Juan Crist\u00f3bal Ravanal lo perfil\u00f3 como \u201chijo de la prosa y el ritmo; urbano, vegetariano, ecol\u00f3gico, un mestizo universal de ra\u00edces venezolanas y alma caribe\u00f1a. M\u00fasico completo: compone, escribe, siente la realidad en melod\u00edas y ritmos que no los puedes dejar de lado, pues regresan al cuerpo como necesidad primaria. No te cansas de escucharlo\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Juan David Chac\u00f3n es el nombre civil que origin\u00f3 el nombre art\u00edstico OneChot, como la versi\u00f3n jamaiquina de su alias, Juancho. Obtiene el grado de Comunicador Social en la Universidad Central de Venezuela en el a\u00f1o 2003. Su tesis de grado,\u00a0<\/span>Reggae y Rastafari: Dos formas de entender el Caribe<\/i>, fue realizada<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>en co-autor\u00eda con C\u00e9sar Cortez M\u00e9ndez, mereci\u00f3 la menci\u00f3n \u201cpublicaci\u00f3n\u201d y fue editada en 2005 por el sello Oscar Todtmann Editores.<\/span><\/p>\n

OneChot es un m\u00fasico de piel, dedicado al\u00a0<\/span>World Music<\/i>, expresi\u00f3n en la cual confluyen<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>lo real y el frenes\u00ed de la contemporaneidad. Su propuesta surge de una potente mezcla afrocaribe donde convergen el\u00a0<\/span>Reggae<\/i>, el\u00a0<\/span>Dancehall<\/i>\u00a0y cercan\u00edas al\u00a0<\/span>Hip-Hop<\/i>. De este modo, durante el a\u00f1o 1996, se produjo en el artista un vuelco vital luego de que viajase a Jamaica, donde aparte de relacionarse con superestrellas musicales de ese \u00e1mbito, tuvo contacto con la cultura Rastafari.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Su carrera profesional se inicia hace ya dos d\u00e9cadas, como miembro fundador de la agrupaci\u00f3n de reggae roots \u00a0<\/span>Negus Nagast<\/b>\u00a0<\/span>con la cual edita su primera placa titulada\u00a0<\/span>Rastafari Fi Salvation<\/i>\u00a0<\/span>(2003) y m\u00e1s tarde\u00a0<\/span>I and I ProJah\u00a0<\/span><\/i>(2007). Luego,\u00a0<\/span>Papashanty Saund System<\/b>, superbanda que congreg\u00f3 a miembros de otras agrupaciones como Desorden P\u00fablico, La Corte o Jah Bafana <\/span>y que pose\u00eda una sonoridad que la distingu\u00eda por su\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>mixtura de g\u00e9neros, tales como el\u00a0<\/span>Reggae<\/i>,\u00a0<\/span>Dancehall, Ska<\/i>,\u00a0<\/span>Hip-Hop<\/i>\u00a0<\/span>y\u00a0<\/span>Drums & Bass<\/i>. Con dicha banda edita la placa\u00a0<\/span>Ashanty Granpa<\/i>\u00a0<\/span>(2005).<\/span><\/p>\n

A partir del 2002, OneChot inicia su carrera solista al lado de su banda\u00a0<\/span>The BadMan Orchestra<\/b>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Esta nueva etapa se concreta con un primer disco en el 2008,\u00a0<\/span>OneChot 1st Shot<\/i>. Le seguir\u00edan,\u00a0<\/span>Ruff\u00a0<\/span><\/i>en el 2010 y\u00a0<\/span>Natural<\/i>, en el a\u00f1o 2013, que lo concluye luego de que el m\u00fasico viviera un acontecimiento trascendente cuando fue objeto del hampa y la violencia local que tantas veces denunci\u00f3 en su trabajo. Su proyecto musical contin\u00faa con \u00a0<\/span>Social.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n
